Release Notes for Version 4.8 - July 2026

This is a Minor Mobile and Web App Release and it covers new features and Enhancements across the Platform.

Web App Enhancements

1. Court Competitions (New)

SHC now supports Competitions, a major new platform capability for clubs running organized play in disciplines like Tennis and Pickleball. This release introduces the first competition type: Leagues.

This is an add on feature. Clubs can reach out to SHC to have it turned on.

Clubs can:

  • Create a league and configure the format (doubles, rotating doubles, mixed doubles, and more)
  • Reserve courts and build out the league schedule
  • Open registration for members to sign up
  • Use a built-in match generator to automatically create a balanced set of matches based on court availability and registered players/teams
  • Finalize and publish the schedule, which also charges participants for their matches
  • Collect and confirm match scores, with a full leaderboard and standings generated automatically

New areas added to support this:

  • A new Competitions asset type under Create > Classes
  • A new Manage > Court Competitions page
  • A new report for competition data
  • A Competitions toggle added to all departments so clubs can turn the feature on when ready

This is the most significant addition in this release, with corresponding new pages on the Mobile App for member registration and results (see below).

2. Loyalty Program Enhancements

Building on last release's Loyalty Program launch, clubs can now allow members to redeem reward points directly within the class, service, and product purchase and booking flow, rather than only through a staff-initiated redemption on the member's account.

  • Clubs can specify which classes, services, and products are eligible for point redemption, including minimum and maximum redeemable points per item
  • Members can redeem points during their own purchase/booking flow on the Mobile App
  • Staff can do the same on behalf of members through the proxy purchase/booking flow on the Web App

3. Create > Classes and Services: New Beta Pages

Two new pages have been added, Classes (Beta) and Services (Beta), redesigned versions of the existing Create > Classes and Create > Services pages with a more modern layout and easier navigation.

  • This is the first step in a broader redesign of the Web App planned over the next several releases
  • Use of the beta pages is optional, the existing pages remain fully functional
  • Clubs are encouraged to try the new versions and share feedback

4. No Show and Late Cancel: Private Appointment Services

  • Automated no-show and late-cancellation penalty charges, previously available for Classes, are now supported for Private and Semi-Private Appointments as well
  • A new no-show pricing table has been added under Create > Services > Edit Service > E-Commerce to configure this

5. Programs

  • Attendance for Past Events
    • Clubs could already mark attendance for Classes and Services up to 30 days in the past, on both the Web App and Mobile App
    • This has now been extended to Programs as well
  • Transfers Between Differently Priced Cohorts
    • Previously, clubs could only transfer participants between programs/cohorts priced identically
    • Clubs can now transfer participants even when the origin and destination cohorts have different prices, for example moving a member from a $100 Level 1 swim program to a $120 Level 2 cohort

6. Reports

  • Deferred Revenue Report: Fix
    • Previously, this report calculated deferred revenue based only on remaining session count, which understated deferred revenue when future sessions were already scheduled
    • For example, a 10-pack with 9 future appointments booked showed only 1 session as deferred, even though the other 9 had not yet occurred
    • This has been corrected
  • New Report: Realised Revenue Report
    • Shows the usage of every session across the platform, so clubs can see cumulative realized revenue over a date range
    • Can be filtered by date, department, location, class, service, and trainer, like other reports
  • Deferred Revenue GL Code
    • Clubs can now associate GL codes with classes, services, programs, and products specifically for deferred revenue
    • This code will appear on the Deferred Revenue Report
  • Payroll Report: Cancelled Events
    • Payroll reports previously included cancelled events at full value
    • Cancelled events are now voided on payroll reports and shown as $0

7. Financial & Inventory Enhancements

  • Profit Centre for Inventory Items
    • Clubs can now associate a profit centre and GL code with individual inventory items, not just Classes, Services, Programs, and Products
    • Previously, purchases of standalone inventory items, like a 5-pack of Pilates sessions bought outside a normal booking flow, did not populate a GL code on transaction/order reports. They now do
  • One Time / Promotional Inventory Items
    • Clubs can mark an inventory item as one time or promotional
    • When linked to a class, service, program, or product, for example a discounted trial Pilates session, the platform automatically limits the member to purchasing it once
  • Tips for Private and Semi-Private Appointments (Clearent / Xplor Pay)
    • Clubs using Xplor Pay/Clearent can now collect tips for Private and Semi-Private Appointments via the Mobile App, iPad App, Web App, or credit card terminal
    • Payroll reports have been updated to reflect tips

8. Calendar Enhancements

  • Trainer and Resource calendars, previously limited to 1, 2, and 3-day views, now support Weekly and Monthly views
  • Makes it much faster to check availability across multiple weeks, such as when booking a recurring court or training appointment

9. Session Balance Visibility

  • Staff creating an appointment can now see a client's session balance as soon as the client is selected, before the appointment is confirmed, rather than only after
  • Live on both the Web App and Mobile App
  • Makes it easier to spot upsell and renewal opportunities in the moment

Mobile App Enhancements

1. Court Competitions

  • New Mobile App pages support the member side of Court Competitions
  • Members can browse and register for leagues, view schedules, enter match scores, and follow leaderboards and standings
  • This is an add on feature. Clubs can reach out to SHC to have it turned on

2. Rotating QR Code Check-In (ABC Financial)

  • For clubs using ABC Financial with compatible check-in hardware, the Mobile App now supports a rotating QR code that refreshes every few minutes
  • Club hardware validates the current code to let members into the facility, no static code required
  • Clubs need to reach out to SHC to have this turned on

3. Reward Point Redemption

  • Members can now redeem loyalty points directly within the class, service, and product purchase and booking flow, for any items clubs have enabled for redemption

4. Manage Payment Methods & Membership Dues

  • Members can now manage their payment methods and billing directly from Settings > Account:
    • Add, update, and set a default credit card or bank account
    • View and pay past due balances
    • View and pay upcoming charges
  • This is an add on feature. Clubs can reach out to SHC to have it turned on

5. Attendance for Past Program Events

  • Members and staff can now mark attendance for Programs up to 30 days in the past on the Mobile App
  • Consistent with existing support for Classes and Services

6. Session Balance Visibility

    • Session balance is now shown as soon as a client is selected in the appointment creation flow, before confirmation
    • Matches the Web App update above
