How to Efficiently Manage Members on the App?

Your Front Desk will definitely need to manage the daily issues Members are going to pose to them, such as forgotten passwords, forgotten phones, and making and cancelling bookings. This article will help your Front Desk navigate these issues.

HOW TO TROUBLESHOOT

Assign Front Desk department to staff

If you choose to have a Front Desk department on the App, you can assign your Front Desk staff members their appropriate department by going to  Web App > Manage > Staff Members > Add a staff member or Edit roles of an existing staff member by Enable Front desk Department > Give Manager or  Coach Role.

Note – Here, The ”Manager” role refers to Front Desk Manager and the “Coach”  role refers to Front Desk Staff.

Allow Front Desk to Change Member Passwords

You can also allow your Front Desk to change member passwords by going to  Web App >Create >Company >Member Management >Check the box with the question “Do you want Front desk staff to change member passwords”.

Additionally, you can also check the box with the following text so that Directors are informed when any such changes are done:

“Inform Front desk Director when Staff member changes member password”.

Note Be careful of whom you assign as the Front Desk Department member since this option gives them the ability to change any password.

Allow Front Desk/All Staff to manage Booking and Attendance

Web App > Create > Company > Booking and attendance

Check the  boxes based on your club’s policy decisions under the menu "Booking and  Attendance is managed by either Front Desk or all the staff at the club”

Note - This enables your Front Desk or all of your staff (based on policy decision) to make and cancel bookings or mark attendance on behalf of your members.

A member account is created on the SHC Platform but they do not have the correct Membership Information from the Billing Company

Web App > Manage > All Users > + Button > Link Account

Here, you can enter the Barcode Number of a Member from the Billing Company and use this page to -

1. Create a new account for a member

2. Update an existing account on the SHC Platform with the Billing Company Information. 

Front Desk wants to view member Barcode, Membership Type and Block a member from making bookings, Change a member Password.

To achieve this, the Front Desk staff can go to :

Manage > All Users > Click on the name of a member > View all the desired options
