Managing Roles on the SHC Platform

Every role has a different level of access on the SHC Platform. It's very important to understand this since some roles have access to sensitive information and functions.

1.0 Roles on the SHC Platform 

  • The SHC Platform/Web App has various types of roles that a club can assign to its staff members. 
  • These roles are what decides the access to the various functions for each account on the SHC Platform. 
  • The roles are - 
    • Fitness Company Admin - This is a role that is typically assigned to the highest level of authority at the club. The Fitness Company Admin has access to all of the functions on the Web App.  
    • Fitness Centre Admin - The Fitness Centre Admin has all of the administrative capabilities that are location specific. This role can make all of the changes in the Web App limited to the location selected.
    • Manager - The Manager role is given to any staff member that is considered the head of a department or a department director. This role has more limited functionality to access information relevant to a department head at a club. 
    • Coach - The coach role is given to any staff member at the club who is a Trainer/Instructor/Coach and they have the most limited functionality with information relevant to an instructor on the Web App. 
  • The roles are given on the Web App on the Manage > Staff Members page. Here, a club can assign the roles to various staff members at the club by selecting the Club Location, Department and Relevant Role. (Screenshot 1.1)
