Product Roadmap Q2 2025

This article outlines the roadmap of the SHC product for the next 2 releases (24 weeks)

 

Release 4.3 (Expected April 3rd Week of 2025) 

E-Commerce Solution - 

  • Session Balance Usage - SHC will be adding a new section to the Manage > All Users > Select a user > Package Pool page where clubs can view the session usage of any packages that a user has purchased along with the dates, Classes and Services that the sessions were used for. 
  • Price edits at the time of bookings - For customers running payments through Stripe or Club Automation on the SHC Platform, a new feature will be added on all booking flows for the Front Desk and department managers that allows users to edit the set price of any purchase at the time of the booking. 

The above function is limited to clubs using Stripe Payments or Club Automation Payments

  • Discounts and Promotions - For customers running payments through Stripe or Club Automation on the SHC Platform, a new discounts and Promotions functionality will be released allowing clubs to add discounts for all classes and services based on Membership Types, Statuses, Joining date etc. 

The above function is limited to clubs using Stripe Payments or Club Automation Payments

  • Charge At Service - The "Charge At Service" functionality will now be supported for all types of Private, Semi-Private appointments on the SHC platform. This will allow Trainers, Swim Coaches, Massage Therapists, Tennis Pro's etc to book recurring appointments with their clients on the platform and charge the member separately for each appointment at the time of the appointment using their Mobile App. 
  • Charge After Service - The "Charge After Service" functionality will now be supported for all types of Private, Semi-Private appointments on the SHC platform. This will allow Trainers, Swim Coaches, Massage Therapists, Tennis Pro's etc to book recurring appointments with their clients on the platform and the app will automatically charge members after their appointment. 

The above will only apply to appointments with 1 session prices. 

 

Smart Courts 

  • Court (Resources) calendar view - The Resource calendar on the web app will be optimised further to show more courts on a single screen along with more times of the day on smaller screens as well. Several minor optimisations will be made to this page for an easier court management experience. 
  • Court (Resources) calendar view on the Mobile App - A new UI and page will be released on the Mobile App for Trainers and Directors to view activities that are going on in all the courts of the club on the Mobile App. 
  • Payment Status and Payment Optimisations for Court Bookings - For Court Bookings on the SHC platform, the Calendar (Resources) page will now show all the payment statuses of court bookings in real time on the calendar. In addition, for clubs using Stripe and Club Automation payments, the court bookings from the past will now allow for player modifications with automatic refunds and charges based on the changes made to a court booking. 
  • Check-ins and Attendance for court bookings - SHC will be adding a new feature for Front Desk staff that will allow Front Desk or any other managers to mark attendance/check-ins for all court and equipment bookings at the club. The attendance here will be captured and displayed in all of the reports, and the court (resources) view will also clearly show all checked in bookings and non-checked in bookings. 

Group Exercise and Instructor Substitution 

  • Self Check In for Members - A brand new functionality will be released for clubs where they can configure a custom URL on an iPad/Computer at the Front Desk that allows members to come in, scan their Barcode/Enter it on their own and Mark Check Ins for any of the classes they are booked for at the facility. 

Programs 

  • Front Desk and Manager program bookings will be enhanced quite significantly. 
  • Staff members will be able to pick any event of a Program from the calendar or Program details page and fine tune how many events of the Program they want to Book the member for and how many events of the Program they want to charge the member for. 
  • This will also work for Programs that are in the past. (30 days)

Reports and Others  

  • Forms with Expiry Dates and Exporting functions - Forms on the SHC platform will be configurable to have an expiry date. So, if a waiver form that is used for Swim Lessons is valid for a year, it will not be repeatedly assigned to a member every time they sign up for a Swim Lesson for 1 year. The forms report will also allow clubs to export the responses of any forms filled by a member in a spreadsheet with all the responses to each question laid out individually. 

Discounts and Promotions 

  • SHC will be adding a new functionality where all clubs using Stripe and Club Automation will be able to apply discounts to any of their inventory items to a select group of users with a limitation on how many times the discount can be used by a member. This can be used for multiple use cases such as - 
    • Complimentary sessions
    • Employee Discounts 
    • One time smoothie discounts 

Customers using ABC/Datatrak 

  • Billing and Payment Enhancements - SHC will add a new section on the app that can be optionally switched on by a club that opens up all Billing-related changes for a customer to make on the app natively. The new section will include, but not be limited to - 
    • Showing a member's Credit Card status 
    • Showing a member's Past Due status 
    • Give the member the ability to pay off their dues on the app natively
    • Give the member the ability to update their credit card on the app natively 

Release 4.3 HotFix 1 (Expected by 2nd Week of May 2025)

This has been updated from 1st Week of May to 2nd Week of May

E-Commerce Solution - 

  • Deferred Revenue Reporting - A new deferred revenue report will be added to the Manage > Reports page that allows clubs to view all session balances that remain on the accounts of all the users along with their value and the realised sessions and $ amounts of any packages that a member has. 

Group Exercise and Instructor Substitution 

  • Instructor Substitution change volunteer status - In the instructor substitution workflow, instructors will now be able to change their volunteering decision when trying to volunteer for a substitution on the platform anytime before the department director approval takes place. 
  • Instructor Sub Class Teaching Reminders - Clubs will be able to configure a notification to remind instructors of a class they are subbing before the class starts. 

Reports and Others

  • Combined Staff Payroll Report - A new staff payroll report will be introduced that combines all pay types that a staff member may receive on their side into one. So, If a staff member gets paid a Commission % for a service and an hourly rate for a class, the two will be combined in a single report for easier payroll processing. 

General Mobile App Changes

  • New Sections in all departments - At the moment, the "Services" tab of the SHC mobile app combines all Court Booking services and Appointment Booking services in the same section. This will be separated into 2 sections for easier navigation for members. 

Notifications 

  • Service Provider Notifications for Private and Semi-Private Appointments - A new notification will be sent to Trainers/Service providers if a member cancels a One on One appointment or a Semi Private appointment from their side on the Mobile App. 
  • Booking Confirmation Notifications - A new option will be available on the Create > Company > Book a class/Court/Service Provider policies page allowing clubs to enable Booking Confirmation E-mail's that sends an email to members for every type of booking that they make on the app. 

Hire a Service Provider 

  • More control over appointment Bookings - At the moment, if a trainer has not set up their availability, only they can create appointments without availability. A new policy will be added to the Create > Company > Hire a Service Provider policies, allowing clubs to open up appointment bookings to the Front Desk and Managers to book appointments outside a trainer's availability. 

For Clubs Using Club Automation Backend 

  • SHC will be building out a new feature where clubs will no longer have to give us a list of family members/kids/dependents on a members account.
  • SHC will be able to pull a list automatically on a regular basis and update family details for all members on the Mobile App. 
  • Members can also use a new button that will be added on the app to instantly bring their family details to their Profile.
