Release Notes for App Version 3.4.0 and Management Console - 20th November 2020

This release note covers what is new in the Management Console and App version 3.4.0. The highlights of this release are - > E-Commerce module. > Enhancements to Live Streaming Module. > The launch of our new Knowledge Base.

What’s New in Management Console?

  1. E-Commerce Module
    We, at Smart Health Clubs, are very excited to announce our E-Commerce module, which will allow clubs to charge their members on the Mobile App. This allows clubs to sell Classes, Products, and Services using the Billing Company Payments or Stripe Payments. Here are the visible changes in the Management Console (Changes visible when E-Commerce Module is activated by Smart Health Clubs)  -
    • There are 3 selling methods available to clubs -
      • Packages
      • Services
      • Inventory
    • A new section has been added to the Create > Company page called "Inventory" which
      • Allow the clubs to create an Inventory of items that they can sell on the app. 
      • Create a Product or Service with an applicable price and quantity that can be set by the club. 
      • The items created in the Inventory can be applied to various assets on the Management Console by going to Create > Classes/Product/Service > E-Commerce tab as a dropdown menu. 
    • A new option has been added on the Create menu of the Management Console called Stripe Dashboard which redirects clubs to their Stripe Dashboard. (This applies to clubs that will be using Stripe as a Payment Method on the App.)  
    • Classes Page
      • In the Create > Classes > Edit or Create a class > E-Commerce tab, the "Sessions" has now been renamed to "Quantity". 
      • This change has been made across all assets such as Classes, Products, and Services.
  2. Live Streaming enhancements
        • Additions have been made on the Create > Clubs > Resources page. Added a list of Bookable and Non-Bookable items on the resource layout. This page has also been enhanced to accommodate for saving layouts with only Bookable items. 
        • Color restrictions on the resource page have now been removed. 
  3. Manage > Members Page 
    • We have added a new Member Demographics Pop-Up on the Manage > Members page where clubs can now view the Membership Type, Barcode, and Membership Tier of any member. 
    • We have also added an option on this Pop-Up where clubs now have the option of blocking members from making bookings on the app for a User-Specified amount of time. 
    • This page also has the option of adding a common Staff Alert for a specific member. 
  4. Department Labels 
    • We have now enhanced the Department Labels where the changes in the name of a department will reflect across the Management Console for a better user experience. 
    • For Virtual Departments, labels will show up in brackets. 
  5. Banners 
    • In the Create > Company > Banners page, clubs will now have the option of changing and re-ordering the Banners. 
  6. Re-Loading Pages 
    • Users on the Management Console will now be re-directed to the same page when they change locations from the dropdown on the Management Console. (Applicable for Multi-Location Clubs) 
  7. Manage > Reports Page
    • On the Manage > Reports page, clubs can now mark the number of Attendees for an event to be 0. 
    • This page also has a new drop-down on the "Event Completed" column with 2 options to mark an event as "Open" or "Completed". 
    • An event can be marked as completed even with 0 attendees. 
  8. Testimonials
    • Apart from the instructors, now, the managers can use the Manage > Trainers page to edit or modify a testimonial put by an instructor. 
  9. Waitlist
    • In the Create > Company > Booking and Attendance section of the Management Console, clubs now have the option to pick between 2 types of waitlists - 
      • Assign the spot to the first member on the waitlist. 
      • Notify all waitlisted members which allows them to confirm their booking. 
  10. Barcode 
    • We have added a new option in the Create > Company > Member Management section where clubs can decide if -
      • Members are allowed to make changes to their Barcode number. 
      • Members can view their barcode information. 
  11. Virtual Location (Applicable only to clubs using a separate location for Virtual) 
    • In the Create > Company > Department Links section of the Management Console, the clubs can now assign a tile as a Virtual Location. 
  12. Department Specific Member Booking Frequency 
    • On the Create > Company > Booking and Attendance section of the Management Console, clubs can now have a department-specific Member Booking Frequency. 

What’s New in the App?

  1. E-Commerce - With E-Commerce, there are numerous changes that take place on the app as well. Here are the changes that the users will see on the app -
    • On the Mobile App, users will be able to purchase any of the Products, Services, and Classes that a club has set up on the Management Console. 
    • There are new changes that are made to Bookable Classes on the Mobile App. When a member clicks on the 'Book a Spot' button, our system will check if they have the available balance to access the class from the Billing Company.
      • If the member has some available sessions/quantity, the booking will be successful as usual. 
      • If the member does not have available sessions/quantity, a new 'Order Summary' page will be shown with the list of services available to purchase for a class. When this page shows up, a member can -
        • Select any of the available services from the list and click on the newly added "PLACE YOUR ORDER' button at the bottom of the page. If a member does not have a Payment Method set up on the app -
          • The member will be prompted to add a specific Payment Method/Card. 
          • This will go through the Billing Company/Stripe depending on how the club sets up their payments. 
        • When a card has been added, the next screen will be the Success screen with the Purchase details and 'BOOK A SPOT ' button at the bottom of the screen.
        • After a Purchase is successful, the 'Purchase' button at the bottom of the screen will be hidden. 
    • On the Settings > Account page, there has been an addition of a field called "Cards on File". When clicked, this will allow the users to add a new Card for Payments with a '+' button at the bottom right corner of the screen. 
    • We have added a new menu on the Home page of the app called "Orders and Bookings". Clubs would need to develop a new icon for this page of the app. 
    • In the "Orders and Bookings" menu, members will be able to see the Purchases & Bookings made by them on the app. This menu can be filtered by Orders and Bookings as well as sorted by time. 
    • We have added a new credit card image on the Order Summary page. 
  2. Live Streaming 
    • On the app, while live streaming, there is a new button that allows users to switch from Portrait View to Landscape View where they can watch the Live Stream, track viewers, and access other streaming information in a Split Screen view. 
    • We have now added a new circle indicator while Live Streaming that allows users to view the status of a Live Stream with color codes. 
    • A new banner has been added that is displayed when an instructor has not started the Live Stream but a member has tuned in. This reads "Please wait for <Instructor Name> to start the Live Stream". 
    • Added a confirmation dialogue box when an Instructor stops a Live Stream. 
    • Optimizations have been made in the Player that better adjusts to the device and with the Height of the video as well. 
  3. Barcode 
    • If the clubs decide to disallow members from changing their Barcode information, the Home > Profile > Barcode section will be removed. 
    • If clubs choose to remove Barcode information altogether, it will be removed from all parts of the app such as -

  4. Error messages 
    • Various error messages on the app have now been changed to display more relevant information based on the type of error that may occur across the app. 
  5. Waitlist
    • When waitlist notifications are enabled on the Management Console, members will receive an actionable notification allowing them to confirm their waitlisted booking.
    • There has been a re-ordering in the waitlist where when a member books into a waitlist or is booked into a waitlist by a staff member, they will be shown at the bottom of the list. 
  6. Virtual Department (Applicable only to clubs using a separate location for Virtual) 
    • If a club has a Virtual Location set up, a member will be able to select that location upon first logging into the app.
  7. Ratings/Reviews
    • The new message sent to the department head when there is a Review/Rating is - "A review for <class name> by <member nick name> needs your approval. If not approved by <date>, it will be posted on the App." The <class name>, <member nick name> and <date> are in bold text.
    • Now on the Ratings and Reviews page, the instructor will be able to see the nickname of the member who provided the Rating/Review.
