Release Notes for App Version 3.8.0 and Management Console - 20th April 2021

This Release Note covers what is new in the Management Console and App version 3.8.0

What's new in the Management Console?

  • E-Commerce
    • Multiple Default Prices can now be set on the Create > Classes/Services > Edit or Create > E-Commerce Tab of the Management Console allowing clubs to easily set prices for a class with variations such as 5 pack price/10 pack price etc.
    • The Default price not applicable checkbox has now been removed to accommodate an easier E-Commerce setup for clubs. 
  • Improvements to the Account creation process
    • A new section called "Link Account" has been added on the Manage > Members > + Button page that allows clubs to:
        • Link an existing SHC account with an account on the Billing Company
        • Manually update E-Mail ID's
        • Manually create accounts for new members without the need for overnight sync (Isn't this fabulous!)
    • This ability will allow clubs to troubleshoot a lot of member sync issues that have been reported in the past. 
    • The Manage > Members search problems have been fixed and will now accurately search for a member with their First Name, Last Name, and Barcode. 
  • New Enhanced tabs on the Class Page 
    • The Create > Classes > Edit or Create a Class page has been significantly enhanced for a better user experience.
    • New Tabs have been created for Instructor Substitution and Payroll and On-Demand Video with relevant options under each tab. 
  • New Reports 
    • A new report has been added for instructor substitution on the Manage > Reports page that allows clubs to view all the details of requested substitutes, the number of requests, and the number of acceptances. 
    • The member booking report of the Management Console has been enhanced with color codes to differentiate between all the types of bookings such as confirmed, canceled, waitlisted, no shows, and late cancellations. 
    • All Booking reports can now show a larger number of events in a single search. 
  • Integrated Calendar Enhancements
    • Several enhancements have been made to the Integrated Calendar decreasing the amount of time it takes to sync an event to the Mobile App. 
    • The Integrated Calendar will now allow for instructor changes for past events that will also reflect in the payroll reports allowing clubs to have a better level of reporting. 
    • The integrated calendar will also show the word (Sub) for any classes with substitute instructors. 
  • External Links
    • The number of External Links has been increased to 30 on the Create > Company > External Links section allowing clubs to have more virtual departments. 
  • Enhanced Banners
    • A new option has been added on the Create > Company > Banners section called "Make Banners Scrollable". 
  • Customizable Messaging options 
    • A new section has been added on the Create > Company page called "Messaging". This option allows clubs to have more control over who is allowed to send and receive messages on the Mobile App.
  • Content Sharing between Clubs
    • Smart Health Clubs has introduced a new option that allows clubs to share content among each other.
    • This allows clubs to price and share their content to another club, who also uses SHC platform, allowing "Donor" clubs to monetize and share their content while "Recipient" clubs can obtain content from other clubs to increase member engagement. 
    • This option is available for On-Demand Video classes in this release and will be expanded to other assets in the coming releases as well. 
    • Clubs can share any of their On-Demand Video classes using the "Shared Library" option added on the Create > Classes section of the Management Console. 
  • Rebroadcasting videos as Live Streamed Videos
    • Smart Health Clubs has introduced the functionality that allows clubs to use existing On-Demand Videos and Live Streamed Videos and rebroadcast them as Live Streamed events on the Platform. 
    • Clubs can use the Create > Calendar > Virtual Department > Add Event to select an On-Demand Video Class and rebroadcast it at their desired time during the day. 

Note - At the moment, rebroadcasting is limited to On-Demand Videos and will be extended to Live Streamed videos in our next release. 

  • On-Demand Video
    • The Create > Upload Video section of the Management Console now has the ability for clubs to download any of the uploaded videos on the platform.
    • A new ability has been added to the On-Demand video section of the Platform allowing clubs to limit the availability of their videos on the platform to a certain number of days under the Create > Upload Video > Manage Video section. 
    • In the Create > Classes > Edit or Create a class > On-Demand Video tab, clubs now have the ability to order their videos in 4 different ways. 
    • The same page also allows clubs to control if their Live Streamed videos should be recorded as On-Demand Videos. 
  • Booking and Attendance
    • New cancellation options have been added to the Create > Company > Booking and Attendance section of the Management Console.
    • Clubs can now use the "Early cancellation window" section to set 2 different cancellation windows. This allows clubs to impose penalties for any members who cancel their reservations later than the early cancellation window. 
    • All late cancellations will be recorded on the Manage > Reports > Member Booking Reports section of the Management console. 

Note - If clubs don't want to see the Early Cancellation window, they do not need to input any number on the "Early Cancellation Window" section and the "Late Cancellation window" will serve as the only cancellation policy. 

    • A new option has also been added on the same section to notify all members a certain amount of time before the cancellation window closes. 
    • Smart Health Clubs has introduced a new option in the Create > Classes > Edit or Create a class > Booking Tab that clubs can use to allow for Guest Bookings. This allows clubs to create classes where a member can add guests to their class bookings. 

Note - At the moment, guest bookings are limited to calendar events without layouts. In future releases, this option will also be extended to layout guest bookings. 

What's new in the Mobile App?

  • Enhancements
    • Multiple enhancements have been made on the Bookings, Calendar, and Attendance pages of the Mobile App to reduce the number of "Error occurred at server" messages that were displayed with poor connection/slow networks for a more resilient user experience. 
    • Multiple minor enhancements have been made to the Ratings and Reviews, Feeds, and Groups, and other UI elements of the Mobile App. 
    • In-App video players have been added for any videos uploaded on the Smart Health Clubs platform instead of using a web video player. 
    • The Flyers on the Mobile App have been enhanced for a greater user experience. 
    • Multiple UI changes have been made for the On-Demand video section of the mobile app where users will be able to view more information and expand a list of episodes when they want to view all of the videos in a class. 
  • Banners
    • When enabled on the Management Console under Create > Company > Banners, users will be able to scroll through the Club page and hide the banner to view more of the department information. 
  • Booking and Attendance
    • When guest bookings are enabled for classes, members will be able to Book a Spot and use the new "Add Guest" option to add guests to their booking.
    • When the "Add Guest" option is selected, members will be able to input the First Name, Last Name, and Phone number of the guest they are bringing with them. 
    • As members use guest bookings more often, the "Add Guest" page on the Mobile App will store "Favorites" for an enhanced user experience. 
    • Multiple enhancements have been made on the Booking Confirmation page of the Mobile App which will now display member details and cancellation policies when a member makes a booking. 
    • When early cancellation windows are used by clubs, the booking success screen will show the late cancellation policy. 
  • Logs
    • Multiple bug fixes and UI enhancements have been made throughout the Food and Exercise logs section of the Mobile App.
  • E-Commerce 
    • Multiple UI changes have been made for On-Demand Videos, Classes, and Services with E-Commerce settings to show multiple default prices and options on the Mobile App.
