Release Notes for Version 4.3 - Apr 2025

This is a major Mobile and Web App Release and it covers new features and Enhancements across the Platform.


What's New on the Web App?

1. Charge At Service & Charge After Service 

  • Under Web App > Create > Services > Private & Semi-Private Appointments > E-Commerce Options, two new payment options have been added:
    • Charge At Service: Allows manual charging for appointments at the time of service.

    • Charge After Service: Automatically charges members after the appointment is completed.

  • Based on the above settings, a new "Payment Status" column and "Charge" button has been added for each appointment to the Create > Calendar > Trainers calendar page of the Web App. 
  • Multiple changes have been made to the reports and the Manage > All Users page of the Web App to show the relevant information for these new Payment Types. 

2. E-Commerce

⇒ Price Edits at the time of bookings - 

  • New Proxy Payment options have been added for all Classes and Services on the SHC Platform. 
  • The new function allows clubs using Stripe Payments and Club Automation Payments to edit the price at the time of the Booking and Payment. This can be different from the original inventory price configured on the Platform. 
  • Clubs will be able to see a pencil icon on the Payment page of the Web App if they would like to edit the price during the booking process.

⇒ Session Balance Usage - 

  • A new option has been added to the Manage > All Users > Select a Member page > SHC Inventory/Club Billing Company Packages section. 
  • Now, clubs can click on the name of any Package that a member has purchased and view the Session Usage history of the package. 
  • For example, if a member has bought a 5 Pack of Pilates, this page can be used to track exactly which Class/Service the pack was used for. Previously, this information was only shown on the reports of the Web App.

⇒ Session Balance Redemption - 

  • Previously, when a member purchased a package on the SHC platform, the purchase was tied to their Membership Type. This meant that if a member’s membership type changed (e.g., from "Member" to "Non-Member"), the package would become unusable.

  • This has now been updated so that package purchases are no longer tied to the member’s Membership Type, allowing them to retain and use their package regardless of any membership changes.

 

3. Discounts and Promotions 

  • A new section has been added to the Create > Inventory and Promotions section of the Web App called "Discounts and Promotions" allowing clubs using Stripe Payments or Club Automation payments to create $ discounts or % discounts for any Inventory item created on the SHC Platform. 
  • On the Create > Classes/Services > E-Commerce page, this discount can be applied to any inventory item and limited to a Membership Tier at any time. 

4. Attendance/Check-Ins for Courts/Equipment Bookings 

  • On the Create > Calendar > Resources calendar for Courts and Equipments, a new section has been added allowing clubs to Mark Check Ins and Attendance for any Court Bookings/Equipment Bookings on the Web App. 
  • The information is also shown with checkmarks next to each participant of the Court Booking on the main screen for the Front Desk to easily view checked in members. 
  • The same information is also translated to the Courts and Equipment reports of the Web App.

5. New Attendance marking and Check In functions for Classes

  • On the Create > Company > Book a Class section, A new setting called “Members can mark their own attendance” has been introduced, along with three additional configuration options. These settings provide granular control over how self check-in works, particularly in relation to waitlist handling and cancellation policies.
  • A new user interface has been created for use on computers or tablets placed at the front desk or class entrance. This page allows members to scan or manually enter their barcode to check in for a class.

  • Once entered, they will see their upcoming bookings with the option to Mark Attendance for classes within the Attendance window. 
  • This page auto-logs out after 20 seconds to let the next member Check In.

6. Programs 

  • The "Manage Booking" flow for Programs on the platform has been significantly revamped to allow Managers and Front Desk to have more control when booking and charging members for Programs. 
  • The Manage Booking > + Button > Add Member section now includes a new page that provides the ability to:

    • Book a member starting from a specific date of the program.

    • Charge a member starting from a specific date, independent of the booking date.

    These two options are independent, allowing for a variety of proxy booking configurations.

  • The above functions also work during the program and after the program is over.

7. Forms 

  • New functions have been added to the "Forms" section of the SHC platform. 
  • Clubs can now reach out to SHC and ask for forms to have an Expiry duration. 
  • Previously, a form attached to a program was re-assigned each time a user signed up for a program, even if they had already completed it. With the introduction of an expiry date for forms, if a form is attached to multiple programs, it will only be assigned once per user within the specified validity period.

  • After the form expires, SHC will assign the form again for the next sign-up after the expiry date.

What's New on the Mobile App

1. Staff Calendar 

Multiple Changes and Enhancements have been made to the Staff Calendar page of the Mobile App. 

⇒ Charge At Service/Charge After Service

  • A new "Charge" button has been added for all Trainer appointments for them to be able to charge individually after each service. 
  • If a Charge At Service or Charge After service type service is used to create an appointment for a member, the app will no longer prompt for a payment at the time of appointment Booking. 

⇒ Trainers and Resource Calendars on the Mobile App

  • Previously, department directors could view their trainers' calendars on the Web App for an overview of each trainer’s schedule. A new UI has now been introduced on the Mobile App, providing the same convenient access for easier viewing on the go.

  • Similarly, directors overseeing court and equipment bookings could previously view usage on the Web App. This feature is now also available on the Mobile App, offering a quick and convenient view of court and equipment availability.

2. Tamper Proof Barcode 

For Clubs using SHC's Tamper Proof Barcode functionality - 

  • Screenshots can now be prevented on the Mobile App disallowing any member from screenshotting the Barcode page. 
  • Clubs can limit Barcode access to Authenticated members only. So, if a member account is no longer a member, the barcode can be hidden to those users. 

3. Promotions and Discounts 

  • A new animation has been added to the Mobile App for clubs using Promotions and Discounts on the SHC Platform. 

4. ABC and Datatrak Customers 

  • A new option can now be enabled by SHC for customers using ABC/Datatrak 
  • This option allows members to 
    • View if they have any Past Dues along with the Amount that is Past Due. 
    • Change their Payment Method for Billing and Other purchases. 
    • Edit their Card on File in ABC or Add a new Card on file in ABC.
