Release Notes for Version 3.11 - 14th December 2021

This is a major release and it covers Hire a Trainer/Service Provider (with smart scheduling now), Two-Way Video Conferencing and Tennis Module with Smart Scheduling. And a lot more.

What's new on the Web App?

  • Hire a Trainer/Service Provider  

While we introduced Hire a Trainer in the last release, we have added significant more functionality now. We have added smart scheduling to this module in this Release.

  •  

    • There are multiple changes made to the Hire a Trainer module of the SHC Platform making it easier for trainers/service providers to create bookable events for members. 
    • SHC has introduced a new Smart Scheduling. With this, trainers/service providers such as Personal Trainers, Massage Therapists, Tennis Pros, Swim coaches need to simply input their availability times and the software will automatically create calendar events based on these availabilities and services provided. This can be accessed using the new Create > Calendar > Trainers section. 
    • SHC has also introduced Client Based events on the SHC platform. With this, trainers/service providers can simply book appointments for specific clients. To access this, trainers can use the new Create > Calendar > Add Event page. 
    • Any appointments that have been booked by a member or a trainer can also be tracked using the new Dashboard functionality. This can be accessed on the new Create > Dashboard section.

  • Two-way Video Conferencing

    • SHC has now introduced the ability for trainers and service providers to provide their services over video conferencing. 
    • Trainers can book events for specific clients or allow any member to book their Video Conferencing services straight from the Web and Mobile App. 
    • This functionality also functions with the new Smart Scheduling and Client based calendars
    • A new section has been added to the Create > Company section called "Video Conferencing" to set Video Conferencing policies. 
    • The Trainer or Service provider can start the video conferencing by clicking on the Start Video Conferencing button on the Create > Dashboard > Service Calendars. This page is present both on the web and mobile App, so the Trainer or Service provider can use either the Mobile or Web App to start the video conference.

  • Service Provider Substitution and Payroll 

    • With the new Hire a Trainer/Service Provider module and Two Way Video conferencing module, it also becomes important for clubs to have accurate payroll reports for any services booked through the SHC Platform. 
    • For this, SHC has also introduced the new Service Provider Substitution and Payroll section
    • A section has been added to the Create > Company section allowing clubs to set up Service Provider Substitution and Payroll policies.
    • With this, trainers/service providers have the ability to request a substitute for any of the services that they may be offering. 
    • For complete control, these substitutes can also be selected by the trainer/service provider themselves. 
    • In addition, the payroll reporting for trainers/service providers is different from the one offered in Group Exercise. 
  • Tennis Module with Smart Scheduling

    • SHC has introduced the new Tennis Module with multiple new features and advantages for clubs with Tennis Courts. 
    • The new Tennis module allows clubs to set up availability times for their Tennis Courts using SHC's new Smart Scheduling
    • With this, clubs would simply need to specify the availability for their Tennis courts and the software will automatically allow members to reserve the Tennis Courts for those specific times. For example, if your club allows 60-minute court bookings and you specify that your courts are available between 10 AM and 5 PM, members will automatically be able to view 7 bookable events per court per day. 
    • SHC has also introduced the ability to Find a partner/Invite a partner for singles and doubles format. 
    • With this, when a member goes to Book a Court, they will be asked to Invite partners to play with them. A member/host can add up to 3 partners apart from themselves. 
    • The Platform will then notify everybody who has been invited to play using Push Notifications on the app. Once accepted, partners will be able to view their upcoming tennis match on the Home > Barcode page. 
  • Instructor Substitution and Payroll

    • Multiple changes have been made to the Instructor Substitution portion of the SHC Platform. 
    • Managers/Directors can now request substitutes on behalf of an instructor using the WebApp.
    • This can be done by using the Manage > Reports > Attendance Report > Click on Class Name > Need a substitute button
    • An improved version of the "Instructor Substitution" report is now available on the Manage > Reports > Instructor Substitution section. 
    • In addition, this report now allows Managers/Directors to approve/disapprove any pending substitution requests straight from this report. 
    • Minor bugs have also been fixed throughout the instructor substitution and payroll section of the platform including the approved Class/Category section of the Manage > Instructors and Trainers page. 
    • The Push Notification/E-Mail for any disapproved substitution has also been changed to a more accommodating message. 
  • Reports 

    • A new Check-In report has been added to the Manage > Reports page allowing clubs to track member check-ins at the club. In addition, this report can also be filtered to view if a member has not checked into the club for a specified amount of weeks. 
    • A new report has been added for the Service Provider Substitution and Payroll with the commission information for each service provider. 
  • E-Commerce - Stripe 

    • Multiple changes have been made to the E-Commerce section of the SHC Platform for clubs who are using Stripe payments. 
    • Clubs can now use the Manage > All Users > Click on User's Name > E-Commerce section to give any member an inventory item. This can be useful for clubs that provide complimentary sessions for new members/returning members. 
    • Clubs can now also manually process payment refunds to members who have made purchases on the SHC Platform. This can be done using the Manage > Reports > Orders page using the "Refund" button next to any order. 
  • Other Minor Changes 

    • Multiple other changes have been made to the SHC Web App including minor bug fixes across all pages of the Web App. 
    • Some of the Web App colors will now be branded to club-specific colors across the Web App UI. 

What's new on the Mobile App?

  • Tennis Module 

    • Multiple Changes have been made to the Mobile App with the new Tennis Module introduced by SHC. 
    • If set up by the club, a member can now use the Mobile App > Tennis > Services section to for the Book a Court functionality.
    • A new "Invite Friends" button has been added allowing a member to invite their friends to their tennis court booking.
    • A new "Inform Members" button has been added that lets a member notify all their partners that were invited to a Tennis Court. 
    • Partners who have been invited to a Tennis Court can now use Push Notifications to respond to any invitations and be a part of a host's court booking. 
  • Two Way Video Conferencing 

    • If set up by a club, new options have been added to the Mobile App > Service Department > Trainers > Hire a Trainer > Video Service > Calendar page where members can book a Video Conferencing training for themselves. 
    • A new section has also been added to the Mobile App > Home > Barcode section of the platform of the Mobile App where members can select any upcoming Video Conferencing events and use the "Join Video Conference" button 
    • A new section has also been added for Trainers where they can use the Mobile App > Dashboard > Calendar page to select any upcoming Video Conferencing appointments and use the "Start Video Conference" button to start a video meeting straight from their Smartphones. 
  • Service Provider Substitution and Payroll 

    • For Service Providers who would like to request for substitutes for any of their upcoming appointments, a new "Need a substitute" button has been added. 
    • This button can be accessed using the Mobile App > Dashboard > Calendar page for any future service appointments. 
  • Instructor Substitution and Payroll 

    • Multiple changes have been made to the Mobile App portion of Instructor substitution. 
    • Instructors will now be able to see a new "Substitution in progress" button after requesting for a substitute. This button will open a new page that allows instructors to view more information about their substitute request such as instructors who have responded, instructors who have not responded and the approval status of their request. 
    • On the same page, instructors now also have the ability to re-request for a substitute by clicking on the "Request Substitute Again" button. 
  • Notifications 

    • The complete notifications section of the Mobile App has been re-designed. 
    • The "Actionable" and "Informational" notifications present earlier on have now been removed to make way for a more intuitive notification experience on the Mobile App. 
    • The notifications of the Mobile App are now divided into neat sections. Each section is dedicated to a feature of the Mobile App. For example, Instructor substitution notifications are grouped under single section, booking notifications are under a separate section and so on. 
    • These notifications can now also be deleted by simply swiping left on any notification an selecting the "Delete" option. 
  • Geo-Location notification and other Alerts

    • New options have been added to the Mobile App > Settings > Alerts page. 
    • On this page, members can now enable the "Geo-Location for App Launch" option. This option uses a member's location to detect when a member is near the club. Upon detection, the app will send a notification to the member's device allowing a member to easily get to their Barcode page. 
    • A new "Do Not Disturb" option has been added to this page allowing a user to disable notifications from the Mobile App for a certain time range. 
  • Other changes 

    • A new option has been added on the Home > Profile > Gender page of the Mobile App allowing a member to not specify their gender/Identify as a No-Binary/Others
    • Multiple UI bug fixes have been made on the Dashboard > Food and Exercise logs pages of the app for easier searching and logging of Foods and Exercises. 
    • Since SHC is discontinuing the Member Support channel, a new option has been added to the Mobile App > Settings > Support section allowing you to forward any member messages to SHC.
